Rochester Sensors, a leasing provider of innovative sensor solutions, today announced the launch of its new T/LL25X Series Liquid Level Sensor. This cutting-edge sensor is designed for continuous liquid level measurement in vented tanks and offers exceptional accuracy, reliability and ease of use.

The T/LL25X Series utilizes hydrostatic technology, incorporating a pressure transducer to measure the height of liquid in a tank. This method provides accurate and consistent measurement regardless of the liquid’s viscosity or density. With its flexible tube design, the sensor easily installs in a wide range of tank shapes and sizes, making it a perfect solution when traditional swing arm devices are not feasible.

This new sensor boasts an impressive ±1.6% accuracy for fluid depths up to 2000mm at 25°C. It is compatible with various liquids, including diesel, kerosene, petrol, and water, making it suitable for diverse applications. The sensor’s robust construction features a 316 stainless steel sensor body and an IP67 rating, ensuring reliable operation even in challenging environments.

To seamlessly integrate with existing systems, T/LL25X Series offers a factory-set linear voltage or current output, making it compatible with PLCs and other process control systems. Furthermore, end-users can easily recalibrate the sensor to ensure optimal performance for their specific needs. Rochester Sensors offers the T/LL25X Series in multiple lengths up to 10 meters, accommodating a wide variety of tank depths.

This innovative sensor is ideal for applications such as fuel monitoring in storage tanks, water level management in reservoirs and tanks, industrials process control involving compatible liquids, and agricultural applications like monitoring liquid fertilizer or water levels.

The T/LL25X Series is available for purchase immediately. Units come calibrated for diesel, but end-users can easily recalibrate them for other compatible liquids.

Technical Specifications: 

The T/LL25X Series is designed for liquid depths ranging from a minimum of 400mm to a maximum of 10,000mm for diesel and 8,400mm for water. It features 1″ BSPT or 1″ NPT threads and operates on an electrical supply voltage of 9-32 VDC for voltage output and 18-32 VDC for current output. The sensor has a supply current of 30mA and provides a signal output of 4-20mA for current and 0-5V for voltage. The T/LL250 version also includes an alarm output with a switch to ground, a maximum 100mA current, and a trigger point at 12.5% of the full level. Connections are made through a 4 Way Delphi Packard Metri-Pack 150 Series connector. The Sensor housing is constructed form 30% glass-filled nylon,, while the sensor tube is made of polyurethane and the sensor body from durable 316 stainless steel. With an IP67 rating, the sensor is protected against dust and water ingress when the mating connector is above the tank surface. It operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +85°C.
